In order for us to machine complex, high tolerance components, we utilise Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
Computer aided manufacturing (CAM) means using machines that are controlled by computers, and is used across all industry sectors. It uses computer numerical control (CNC) which is strings of numbers which control the machine, providing all of the required commands such as which direction to move, and how fast to move.
We are experts in developing CAM toolpaths that encapsulate the optimal material removal strategies and produces the least expensive, conforming component for the process. We can verify that the trajectory of the toolpath will avoid machine tool collisions, part gouging or undesired excess material by utilising industry leading CAM software.
