Duratron PEI is an advanced polymer, ideal for electrical insulators and a variety of structural components.
Duratron PEI has a high maximum allowable service temperature in air (170°C continuously), very good hydrolysis resistance, high strength and stiffness over a wide temperature range, inherent low flammability, and low levels of smoke evolution during combustion, good dimensional stability, physiologically inert and suitable for food contact, very good resistance against high energy radiation such as gamma and x-rays, and very good electrical insulating and dielectric properties.
Duratron PEI is often used in a variety of structural components requiring high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures such as insulators and clamps.
Duratron PEI is available in sheet and rod form and comes in a range of thicknesses.
