Acrylic capped ABS is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) with an acrylic coating. This product combines the standard characteristics of ABS such as impact strength and durability with those of acrylic to give superior scratch resistance as well as improved appearance and a gloss finish.
Acrylic capped ABS has high impact resistance and is UV stabilised ensuring exceptional weatherability properties. Due to its hygroscopic nature, ABS may need to be dried before use.
Acrylic capped ABS is most commonly used in applications such as cases, automotive applications, encasings, and durable point of sale applications.
Acrylic capped ABS is available in a range of thicknesses, with the standard sheet size being 2500 x 1250mm. The colours available are black, white, and silver.
