Carbon fibre Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is laminated with a printed acrylic film giving a realistic carbon fibre appearance, ideal for thermoformed items with a “high tech” look.
Carbon fibre ABS has high impact resistance and is UV stabilised, making it an excellent choice in thermoforming applications. Carbon fibre ABS offers chemical resistance and durability, along with specialist aesthetics. Due to its hygroscopic nature, ABS may need to be dried before use.
Carbon fibre ABS is most commonly used in applications such as automotive interior and exterior, laboratory equipment, office accessories, toys, aircraft interior, luggage, machine parts and rollers, and architectural model buildings.
Carbon fibre ABS is available in a range of thicknesses, with the standard sheet size being 2500 x 1250mm.
