High density polyethylene is commonly abbreviated to HDPE and is also referred to as PE300. HDPE is used in a variety of applications and industries where excellent impact resistance, high tensile strength, low moisture absorption and chemical and corrosion resistance properties are required.
HDPE offers high impact strength, good chemical resistance, wide temperature range (+80°C to -50°C), very low moisture absorption, it is lightweight and weldable, and food contact approved.
HDPE is often used in chemical packaging, packaging, food processing, automotive, and leisure applications.
HDPE is available natural and black, and in sheet, rod, and tube form. It comes in a range of thicknesses and standard sizes.
