The Bay Plastics workshop includes single to quadruple line bending facilities, which have the ability to bend a range of materials including acrylic, polycarbonate, and Foam PVC.
The line bend produced can be up to 2030mm long and 25mm thick. We also offer cold bending facilities for Polycarbonate if required.
Plastic line bending can be accomplished using several techniques. Line bending is an efficient process for creating one or more tight radius bends in most formable sheet plastics.
The main benefits of line bending are:
- Straight bends are produced very efficiently.
- Set up costs are low.
- No tooling is involved.
Most applications for line bending tend to focus on single or double parallel bends to create objects such as rectangular covers and equipment housings. However, some complex forms can be manufactured using this technique.
