Polypropylene copolymer (PPC) grades are preferred for all applications exposed to cold conditions. Polypropylene copolymer (PPC) has better impact strength, maintained down to lower temperatures, than homopolymer at the expense of quite small reductions in other properties.
PPC has excellent impact strength, wide temperature range (+80°C to -20°C), excellent chemical resistance, very low moisture absorption (<0.1%), is lightweight and weldable, and is food contact approved.
PPC is often used in chemical tanks, protective cladding, advertising, signage, and packaging.
PPC is available in sheet and rod form, and in a range of thicknesses.
